Anarcho-Tyranny: The Inverted State
Anarcho-Tyranny describes a political condition in which the state becomes tyrannical toward the law-abiding while turning anarchic toward criminals and disorder.
The term was coined in the early 1990s by paleoconservative writer Samuel T. Francis. He defined it as the combination of oppressive government power against orderly, productive citizens paired with a deliberate failure to enforce basic public safety and justice against the lawless.
In practice, this means two-tiered justice: heavy-handed rules, regulations, taxes, and surveillance imposed on the compliant, while real crime, violence, and social chaos are tolerated or even enabled among favored groups. Police stand down during riots but aggressively pursue parents at school boards. Repeat offenders are released while citizens face prosecution for self-defense. Speech and everyday behavior are strictly policed, yet basic public order collapses.
The result is a society that feels simultaneously chaotic and oppressive — the worst traits of anarchy and tyranny combined, without the honesty of either.
Francis argued this is not mere incompetence, but a structural feature of the modern managerial state, which no longer sees its primary duty as protecting the historic nation and its people.
In today’s rapidly changing West, anarcho-tyranny has become a daily reality for millions who still remember what a functional society looked like.
Kurgan Kingdom exists for those who see this inversion clearly — and refuse to pretend it isn’t happening.
